About Myself

Hello! My name is Melia Zaballos and I am a student in BECA 235. My experience with media began my freshman year of high school, and became my elective of choice throughout my high school career, as well as practicing photography a bit outside of school for fun with my friends. I’ve worked with DSLRs and Adobe Premiere Pro a lot over the last four years and am fairly comfortable with using them. I only have a little bit of knowledge and use of Sony cameras, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop. As of recently, I’ve become a bit familiar with Reaper, the audio editor and am fairly comfortable with it. Since I began college, I’ve lost touch with my passion in media, and hope to reconnect with it by taking BECA 235. Through this class, I hope to build my skills in using a camera and editing audio and visual, as well as become more comfortable with setting up the professional self-promotional aspects such as putting together a portfolio and maybe even figuring out how to better utilize social media.
